Yes, you can deduct the personal property taxes that you pay in some states to register your car.
Here's where to enter that in TurboTax:
- Sign In to your TurboTax account.
- Select Deductions & Credits.
- Select the down arrow to the right of Cars and Other Things You Own.
- Select Start to the right of Car Registration Fees.
- Answer the first question Yes.
- Enter the fees you paid on the next screen.
