You will enter both vehicles into TurboTax and claim the mileage and expenses for each vehicle. Do this:
- Type Schedule C in the Find or Search box
- Slick the Jump to schedule c link or Go to Schedule C button
- Begin navigating through the prompts to enter your Business Profile information
- Scroll to Business Vehicle Expense, and click Start
- Continue navigating through the prompts to enter your first vehicle mileage
- A prompt screen will ask how many vehicles you have. Check the appropriate box and click Continue
- After entering the first vehicle, click the Add a Vehicle button, and begin navigating through the prompts again.
- Click Done after all your vehicles are entered.
The total of both auto expenses will appear on Line 9 of the Form 1040 Schedule C.
