In TurboTax Online, you can enter 2022 overpayments applied to 2023 taxes by following these steps:
- Open your tax return
- Click on Federal in the left-hand column, then Deductions & Credits
- Locate the section named Estimates and Other Taxes Paid and click on the arrow on the right
- Click on Start next to Income taxes paid
- On the next page, click the right arrow next to 2022 Refund Applied to 2023
- On the next page, click Start next to 2022 refund applied to 2023 federal taxes - or state taxes or local taxes
