Indeed, the existing US - NL tax treaty means you don't have to include Dutch Social Security/AOW on your return at all. I haven't done so for several years now, and have successfully filed amended returns for some previous years when I had included Dutch Social security. Other info presented in this thread was still useful for me as I apply it to declare my Dutch ABP pension to which the treaty does not apply as far as I know
