To submit a refund request, I logged into my Intuit account, and in the search box, I typed "refund request" and followed the instructions there. I purchased TT 2023 from Amazon (along with 2010 all the way to 2023), so there are 2 options--from Intuit or from another retailer, where you can provide your receipt. Inuit claims 5-7 days to process the refund after the reasoning is scrutinized.... but I foresee issues here, and I am thinking that they will deny my request based on how they are handling this simple software update issue.
I will not use the tool again.... not after this...EVER.
