Today is Feb 22. I installed an EV charger in 2023 and had previously entered my costs showing a credit before TT was updated. Before using TT today I updated to the latest version and noticed TT is now asking for my GEOID which determines eligibility. I also checked my eligibility myself using the GEOID and found I DO NOT qualify for the credit. But TT still says I do????? This is going to be a problem for many who think they qualify, claim it, and then get audited for not qualifying. I am assuming the GEOID goes on an IRS form and they have the smarts to crosscheck against their really simple lists of eligible sites. Why can't TT do the same?
