I just completed my taxes using turbotax deluxe. I entered form 8936 via turbotaxes guided input after figuring out I had to request the tax item by form number in tax tools. It asked the year of the car I purchased, but the earliest year available from the radio buttons was 2017. My Chevy Volt is actually a 2015, but I am certain it qualifies for the credit. All of the calculations for the credit figured correctly, Should I worry that the year of the car is wrong? I cannot actually file until February 21, so perhaps something will change by then.
