Deductions & credits
You may qualify to claim the Virginia Earned Income Tax Credit if you qualified to claim an Earned Income Tax Credit on your federal income tax return.
However, If you claimed either:
- the Credit for Low Income Individuals or
- the Virginia Earned Income Tax Credit (non-refundable),
you will not qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit (refundable).
