Purchased Home in another state and before residency...How do you handle mortgage interest for part year resident?
Hi all,
I was renting in NYC, bought a home in VA in April, but didn't leave NYC until June. Do I need to claim a portion of the mortgage interest on my NY State filing for the April-June period?
