I am not confused between the child tax credits and the EIC, only if I have to use that form to prove "qualifying children".
But right after I posted the question, I remembered the "Additional Dependent Statement" for form 1040, and that has a check box that indicates "Qualifying Child for Child Tax Credit" So I suppose that is all that is needed for the child tax credit - eh?
