No you do not have to amend your return.  The IRS will make any necessary, corrections.  On the 1095-A that was sent to you but listed him as a participant, how many were listed as a participant.

 

Use this link for instructions on how to report the form 1095-a on your son's return.  The second bullet addresses his scenario.  Ultimately you will need to report the form 1095-A on the son's return.  Follow the interview carefully.
