Deductions & credits
Hi I file a paper return. I am not understanding why it is necessary to have this standard deduction chart going with my tax return. It seems to be an informational worksheet, but it is labeled at 1040-SR Page 4.
Am I really expected to include it in my filed return? I found it odd when I went to print that something that looks to be a "keep for your records" "information only" page is in the document for me to print and file to the IRS. Doesn't the IRS know the standard deduction brackets themselves without me having to attach the form for them?

Is this the reason the page is printing and does the IRS really require the page sent to them with the printed return?
