Yes, once your MAGI is $144,000 for a single filing status then you cannot make any Roth IRA contributions. But your Roth contributions will be already reduced when your MAGI is between $129,000 and $144,000. Please see Amount of Roth IRA Contributions That You Can Make for 2022 for details.

 

Please see What happens if I made an excess Roth IRA contribution for options to fix the excess contributions. Please keep in mind if you remove the excess contribution then the earnings will be taxable in 2022 and increase your MAGI therefore you might have to remove a bit more than the current excess contribution.
