The message will not prevent e-filing and can be ignored, especially if you are taking the standard deduction. Even if you are itemizing, the medical expenses are flowing to Schedule A. You can view Schedule A to confirm this. Click through all 11 expense categories and then make sure to click Continue on the screen that confirms your deduction (standard or itemized).
