Airframe and Powerplant tax write offs
Thanks in advance for any help or advice that gets offered. I am an aviation airframe and Powerplant mechanic and own an llc for my business. As an aviation mechanic there are times where after maintenance test flights are needed to verify that everything is working as it should so that the airframe can be released back to its owner as airworthy. I do not currently have my pilots license but have wanted to obtain it for a few years now and just haven’t had the time or finances to get it done. With the fact that test flights are required in my line of work and right now I would need to hire another mechanic or pilot to do the test flight with me could I use this as a justification to use my private pilot certificate as a write off on my taxes?
Thank you,
