Deductions & credits

I see on my test return that the primary taxpayer's direct contribution does not appear on the Deductions & Credits screen as you might expect.

However, these screens inside the data entry interview (like, "Deductions & Credits") are not part of the tax return. Sometimes, the number is just the number entered as input, which can be confusing when that number is not used in the output the same way.

Indeed, I could wish that the program would not include these numbers in certain cases in the input screens, because you don't know what the program is using the numbers for.

If the numbers are correct on the return, then you are good to go. You are doing the right thing, which is to verify what is on the forms themselves.
