Deductions & credits

You can change you Medical Expenses entries by logging back into your TurboTax Desktop program and following the steps below.

  1. Click on the Federal Taxes tab.
  2. Select the Deductions & Credits tab.
  3. On the screen titled How do you want to enter your deductions and credits?, select I'll choose what I work on.
  4. Scroll down to Medical and click Edit for Medical Expenses
  5. On the Did you spend more than $XXX on medical expenses screen, click Yes
  6. You can proceed with entering your medical expenses but you will need to add in the ACA premium amount that already shows on your Schedule A
