Deductions & credits
You can change you Medical Expenses entries by logging back into your TurboTax Desktop program and following the steps below.
- Click on the Federal Taxes tab.
- Select the Deductions & Credits tab.
- On the screen titled How do you want to enter your deductions and credits?, select I'll choose what I work on.
- Scroll down to Medical and click Edit for Medical Expenses
- On the Did you spend more than $XXX on medical expenses screen, click Yes
- You can proceed with entering your medical expenses but you will need to add in the ACA premium amount that already shows on your Schedule A
