There are two requirements:

 

  • You paid rent on your principal place of residence, and
  • You rented a place that was subject to Indiana property tax.

You know whether this was the place where you have your true, fixed, permanent home and where you intended to return after being absent.

 

Depending upon the facility, it may not be obvious whether it is a not-for-profit or a for-profit endeavor.
