As soon as I seen my transcript I immediately called tax advocates bc j was in middle of buying a new home that was set to close March 1st and I was told it probably would take 6-12 months bc they were so behind. So I didn't even wait for the letter I went on it's website and printed out a sample letter of what the advocate told me they would send with a list kf documents for each credit as u stated (eic,ctc,hoh) I sent in almost 100 pages of proof as u stated u sent. And I filled in the papers I printed to go along with all the proof bc I wasn't waiting for the letter bc at that point they sent it out Feb 2 and it was the end of Feb with my closing date fast approaching . I told my advocate and sent they copies of what I sent into the irs as well and they also sent it in to irs along with their request to release my money immediately. They told me they would contact me in 3 weeks for an update and it would probably take past my March 24th date but they would try their hardest to get it to e before. Well I got my refund about 2-3 weeks later right in time for my March 24th closing date . I believe it was like March 16th if I remember correctly. My advocate called shocked to let me know it was being deposited saying he never seen them move so fast. I was lucky though bc like u most people were waiting past August/September. My sisters came in one week before mine but there was no audit for her ans we were buying the house together so between us it all worked out we moved in March 24th on time. But had I not had the advocate I know it would of taken so much longer. I'm praying we don't get audited this year . My husband passed away this past June a s I had to change filing status etc and my sister is claiming the kids bc I barely worked this last year bc I'm on disability and though I normally work part time I was dealing with losing my husband and the kids struggling etc . So I'm praying they don't audit us
