Good information. Thanks, but my itemized deductions exceed the standard deduction, and my medical deductions exceed the 7.5% of the AGI threshold. It appears that Turbo Tax is missing some software code that converts milage to a dollar deduction because the amount of tax owed does not change when I enter my milage deduction of 1826 miles in the appropriate spaces.
