Please confirm that in TurboTax for Desktop, when you choose Deductions & Credits:
- An amount appears to the right of Medical Expenses, next to the Update button.
- When you click "Update," you are taken to the first question about your medical expenses (usually prescription medication).
- You are able to click through the remaining questions, changing the amounts if necessary.
- At the end, you see "Thanks, we got all your Medical Expense info" with a "Done" button at the bottom.
- When you click Done, you are returned to the Deductions & Credits summary page.
If this is not the interview sequence you are experiencing, please provide specific info of where the program does or does not work.
