no, you can't. people renting a house or apartment can't deduct the rent either. at best if self-employed and there's a specific area used exclusively for the business they can deduct as home office expense a portion of the rent. an employee can't deduct any housing costs even if there's a specific area in the dwelling they use in the conduct of their employment
