Thank you for the info but I am Mac OSX. I did search after my old Mac OSX crashed but I could not locate the tax2021 files anywhere. So I therefore lost my digital copy of 2021 federal and state filing. I had a hard copy only so I did scan it into 4 pdf files from the hard copy. So in my 2022 TTD I had no way to import all the previous years info into the 2022 TTD. So, I did start typing in new data into the 2022 TTD including many charitable accounts, etc. So, I was really disappointed when the last Mac TTD update wiped out all that I had typed in. I then tried to use my 2020 TTD, tax2021file to try to import it into the TTD 2022 program but it would not let me. Even after I changed the name of the 2020 file to be tax2021 it start would not ALLOW an import. I'm hoping that someone has a "trick" to allow the import of the 2020 tax file into my 2022 TTD but that might not be possible.
I am very disappointed that there is NO WAY that I can reach Intuit of TT folks to tell Tham about their update problem and to ask is there a work around to import old TT data (that is transferred from last years file) into 2022 TTD. If you have an email or phone # that might get to them it would be helpful. Their auto system is horrible with their fixed categories and I spent over an hour trying to get a GOOD number or support email w/o success.
