Government dividends
The government dividends are probably supposed to be listed on Schedule B and page 1 of the 1040. They are subtracted out for some states. What kind of government dividends are they and are they not being subtracted out at the federal or state level, and if at the state level, which state?
QCD and RMD
And how is the QCD and RMD being handled? What was your RMD? What was the 1099-R that it was reported on? What is the amount of your QCD? line 4a on the 1040 should have the total amount of your IRA distributions, and line 4b should have that total less the QCD amount. Are you saying that this is not so? If so, please answer the questions above.
