Deductions & credits
My apologies, the IRS apparently starting issuing reject codes for this situation last year, and I did not hear about this.
This reject means that your name/Social Security number is on the list of people with Marketplace insurance (ACA) that the Marketplace sent over to the IRS.
I have seen this surprise situation happen when a taxpayer under the age of 26 has left home, started a job, got their own health insurance, but did not realize that they were still on their parents' Marketplace insurance - or, in one case, was placed on the parents' insurance, because the father thought, "What can it hurt?"
So, any chance you are 26 or under? If so, can you call your parents?
Otherwise, you are going to have to call the Marketplace and ask them to send you a copy of the 1095-A that they should have sent you. Start by going to Healthcare.gov and looking for the 800 number.
