@zweinberg87 , based on your response and absent any other contributing factors, I agree with @DanaB27 , that you (a) recognize the income as foreign income, (b) can ameliorate the effects of double taxation ( by US and China ) by using foreign tax credit ( form 1116) OR tax tax deduction ( if you itemize and within SALT limitations ).
