TurboTax did not zero out line 18 in the New York column on your Form IT-203 New York nonresident tax return. The New York interview in TurboTax asks you how much of the alimony paid on your federal tax return should be allocated to New York. The amount on line 18 in the New York column is the amount you enter on the screen shown below. If line 18 in the New York column is blank or zero you either entered zero or left it blank.
