@Cclizz24  - maybe this is what occured:

 

you were eligible for either the 3rd stimulus or the Recovery Rebate Credit but not both.

 

1) if you received the 3rd stimulus last March - May, 2021, then Line 30 (Recovery Rebate Credit) on Form 1040 should be zero.  if it was not zero, the IRS is going to adjust it and reduce your refund.  There is no need to amend your tax return.

 

2) if you did not receive the 3rd stimuls last March - May, 2021, then Line 28) Recovery Rebate Credit) on Form 1040 should be $1400 times the number of people listed on your tax return. (it's a little different if you income is high, but I am not going to worry about that here).  You are entitled to this money.
