I think Expert Vanessa is making a mountain out of a molehill. Once you complete your return in TurboTax or whatever software you use, a REFUND amount is clearly stated. That is the amount you should receive! That is, unless it is clearly stated in the program that your refund will be provided by a company other than the IRS, and at a charge. The name of the company should be clearly stated.
