If you didn’t receive any payment, answer No on the Tell us about any advance Child Tax Credit payments screen when you go through the Child Tax Credit section. You can get the full amount on your return this year.
- Sign in to TurboTax and open or continue your return.
- Search for Child Tax Credit and Continue.
- Answer the question on the Let's start with where you spent the most time in 2021 screen and Continue.
- On the Tell us about any advance Child Tax Credit payments screen, answer No if you didn't receive any payment and continue.
If you qualify for the credit the amount should end up on line 28 of your Form 1040.
