Deductions & credits
Yes. You can include in medical expenses insurance premiums you pay for policies that cover medical care. However, don't include in your medical and dental expenses any insurance premiums paid by an employer-sponsored health insurance plan unless the premiums are included on your Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement.
Where in TurboTax do I enter health insurance premiums?
If you paid your health insurance premiums with after-tax monies, medical, dental, and vision expenses are reported on Schedule A and entered in the Deductions & Credits section: Open your tax return. (To do this, sign in to TurboTax and click the orange Take me to my return button.)
