I'm having the EXACT same issue, and none of the suggestions apply(itemized, state doesn't allow, etc.). It's the EXACT same situation as last year, standard deduction. The only difference is a slight $10k additional income from last year, which has no bearing on the "vehicle registration fees." I agree with others here, that it has to be a TT software issue. I can't reproduce the screen to do a screen grab, it's its EXACTLY as others have described/displayed. 2020 standard deduction amount with "vehicle registration fees" directly below. Then for the 2021 column standard deduction and $0 for "vehicle registration fees." NOTHING has changed in my filing from the previous year or in my state's vehicle registration fees, that would affect the Federal tax issue. We're talking "Federal". . not state. Please investigate and report.
