Deductions & credits

The problem will still remain. The return may be accepted by another efile provider or a physical return can be mailed, but the 1095-A sent from an ACA exchange in error is still with the IRS. Yes, your return will almost certainly be accepted, but this method works using TurboTax and closed the loop so to speak.

In my case I haven't had an ACA Exchange health plan for nearly 2 years, but I was still in their system and most exchanges have accounts set to auto-renewal. That doesn't mean you have a plan but you may have a zombie account that can mistakenly send documents like a 1095-A to the IRS causing this problem. If this happened to you I suggest calling the exchange in your state and confirming you don't have an exchange plan and that your account is not on auto-renewal. I did that this morning. I didn't have a plan but my account was set to auto-renewal even after 2 years. (I live in California.)
