According to Turbotax, it looks like I'm getting a fairly large credit for rent in DC - but this doesn't seem right. I've never gotten renter's credit in DC before, and this amount seems too high. I answered all of the prompts truthfully - I have rented in DC for the entirety of 2021, and the amount of rent I entered was my monthly rent x 12. But I also looked at Form H for DC, and I don't make less than $20K - so I shouldn't be eligible, right? I also don't know if the actual landlord pays taxes on the building - it's run by a management company, so I'd have to ask the company for details. Can someone clarify, please?
