The real issue is that if Turbo Tax has or hasn't reported the deduction for your auto registration. There are some things to consider.
- Are you able to itemize your deductions this year or are you claiming a standard deduction amount and not able to take advantage of the auto registration deduction?
- If you re able to itemize, go to the forms mode of your program and look at Schedule A.
- Look on line 5C under state and local property taxes to see if your auto registration fees properly recorded.
- Sometimes it may record but doesn't always update in the summary page.
