My 5th child was born on January 4th, 2021. My other 4 children turned 9, 7, 5, and 3 during 2021. TurboTax appears to have calculated the child tax credit for my 4 older children correctly, but not my 5th child. I received $6,600 total through the monthly payments from July through December. This is correct ($3000 + $3000 + $3600 + $3600 = $13,200, half of that is $6,600). That means I should receive the other half ($6,600) as part of this tax return. I should also receive the entire amount ($3,600) for my 5th child. That should total $10,200. But TurboTax is showing only $9,100 for the child tax credit. Why is that? How can I fix it?
Also, I never received the 3rd stimulus payment for my 5th child. I received the correct amount for myself, spouse, and 4 other children, but due to my 5th child being born in 2021, I did not receive that stimulus payment for him. I should receive that now as part of this return. I cannot find that anywhere on TurboTax. Where is that? How can I be certain I will receive that?
