I am so confused. I received a 1400 stimulus check in May and also received a letter from the IRS that says "the EIP isn't considered taxable income and you shouldn't report it on as income on your 2021 federal tax income however you'll need the total payment amount shown above to determine whether your're eligable to claim the RRC on 2021 federal tax income
When i enter the amount in turbo tax i end up owing the federal gov $97.00; I claim 0 every year, make <$2000 more this year than the previous
How can this be?? How is it that this nontaxable credit is actually costing me money??
