requiring a 1095-a for my spouse
I have a HDHP that covers my family. TT asks me "What type of HDHP did [spouse] have on December 1, 2020." If I answer "Family," it tells me she had a gap in coverage, which isn't true. I found advice here that I should answer "None," but when I do that it asks for a Form 1095-A. Since she's covered by my plan, she doesn't get one, so I check "No, we didn't receive or were not approved to receive unemployment" and "No, I didn't receive Form 1095-A." Then it tells me that if I don't enter a 1095-A before I file, the IRS will reject the tax return. What's going on and how do I fix it?
