Deductions & credits
I'm going to take the withdrawal for the 2021 excess now just to be done with it and I understand I will only have the $3,450 to spend on medical for 2022. How will this be handled on my 2022 taxes where I will have made a 2022 contribution of $4,650, only had medical expenses of $3,450 but the account balance will be $0? With regard to TT, on the step-by-step questions it asks whether I made any excess contribution withdrawals before April 18, 2022 and I entered $1,150. I would assume this would then show up on line 14B of form 8889 but it doesn't and it also does not allow me to manually enter it there. Thanks for all the help. I've been using TT for over 20 years and this is one of the most confusing issues I've had to deal with
