State Tax Refund
I had a sizeable DC refund from my 2020 taxes. Base on the response from the step-by-step process, and that I took the standard deduction in 2020, I do not have to pay taxes on my DC return. I also don't seem to have a 1099-G issued by DC.
TurboTax filled in the amount on my 2021 federal since I used the TurboTax software to file for 2020.
Just wondering. Is the refund noted anywhere in my 2021 return? Looked but found nothing that reflects the non-taxed DC refund. Since it's not taxed in anyway, I guess the amount does not need to be on the return. It just seems wrong. Will raise a flag during a review?
And even though I do not have a 1099-G in my possession, can I file now with the federal forms?
