It depends. Federal tax laws state you can take the standard deduction and itemize on your state return. However, it is governed by each state on whether this is permitted. What state do you reside in?
If your state does permit this, you have to ensure you are entering all your deductions as you go through the federal screens. Entering all this data will transfer to your state return and maximum your state deduction in order to take the standard deduction on your federal return and itemize your deduction on your state return.
