Deductions & credits
Finally I am able to get my CA return accepted. My Federal was already accepted and approved.
For those who want to know how I did it.
I m using Desktop Version. I am doing Standard Deduction and had $XXX amount.
Problem is TT asks us did we do any Charitable donations even after we say Standardized.
It says $600 joint we don't need receipt. When we give the amount, it deducts that amount. But it doesn't get transferred to STATE return.
Solution:
I went to my Federal Return and I made same $XXX entry under Charitable Donations section (even though I am doing only Standard Deduction). It populated the STATE return correctly.
Because I made the same $XXX entry under Federal and I am doing Standard Deduction, my Federal Return did not change. I think this is similar solution was discussed in Page 1 of this thread.
Now I am going to wait to see if CA process my return or not. But at-least I crossed one barrier. If CA send me corrected Return, thats ok too.
It shameful that Intuit TT IT team havent fixed this issue for more than one year? What a waste of time for everyone. Will definitely evaluate different options next year. Enough of these TT guys. Once we pay only then we can file and I expect definitely better support for Paid Premier Versions.
