My state return was rejected due to an error in my charitable donations. I log on to fix problem and on the left side my state return is now showing 0 for refund

My state return was rejected due to an error in my charitable donations. I log on to fix problem and on the left side my state return is now showing 0 for refund
I had a return amount and now it is saying zero. Is that typical for a rejected return?
