I am not sure why the worksheet shows one amount but the Form 8812 shows a different amount. Since based on the ages of the two children the $5,400 is correct, I would not worry about what the worksheet shows. The worksheet does not get sent to the IRS. As long as Form 8812 has the correct amounts, then you should be fine. Form 8812 is what the IRS is going to see.
