The standard deduction will show $25,700 on your return once the $600 is entered. I am doing a mockup return in TurboTax Online as well as TurboTax Desktop. What page in the instructions above do you not see so I can assist you further?
To check your deduction on your actual tax form, please follow the steps below:
- Click on Tax Tools on the left-hand side
- Click on Tools
- Click on View Tax Summary
- Click on Preview my 1040 on the left-hand side
- On Form 1040, Line 12c, you should see the amount for the $25,700 once the $600 is inputted
