My wife passed this year and I donated a large amount of items. Based on what I have read I can claim up to 50% of Adjusted Gross Income. Since my AGI is in the negative I can’t claim any contributions. Next year the AGI will probably change to the positive. How do I claim donations that I gave in 2017 in future years? My donations were over $5000.00 based on the donation guides.
