First time home-owner and I am confuse on how to claim my deductions on property taxes.
If my property tax is 6,500.00 for 2021 and my escrow paid half in Dec 2021. The other half is scheduled to be paid in April 2022. Do I claim 6,500.00 on my 2021 income taxes or only half 3,250?
Second question is on supplement property tax bill. I just received and paid 650.00 on my supplement prop tax bill for 2021 on Jan 25th, 2022. Do I claim this 650.00 on my 2021 taxes or do I wait until 2022 taxes?
