Claim Balance of HVAC Tax Credit AFTER selling primary house

Good day all,

In February of 2021, I had to replace my downstairs HVAC system, and purchased a unit that met both requirements for local energy rebates and the federal tax credit.  I have a balance of $150 of the credit on my property because in 2020, I had to replace my upstairs HVAC system that again, met the requirements.

With that said, I have my paperwork needed to file the tax credit for year 2021, but, in November of 2021, we sold our primary home and moved away.   I entered this improvement in my tax documents this year, and it gave me the balance of $150 credit remaining (and even asked the address it applied to because I knew I moved).  My concern though, is, is this even allowed?

I've searched and found many posts about rental properties and businesses, etc, but, this was my primary residence we just happened to sell and move.

Thank you.
