Ambetter Insurance plan purchased directly through Ambetter, but got 1095-A
I'm self-employed and I purchased self-employed health insurance for me and my wife directly through Ambetter. We live in Florida if that matters. Our plan is the "Ambetter Essential Care (Bronze)". I received a 1095-A form for 2021 with my monthly payments listed. When TT asks me to check the box under deductions and credits "I'm self-employed and bought a marketplace plan", I'm not sure if I should since I don't remember signing up for the the plan through any government website. I just signed up originally through the Ambetter website if I remember correctly.
The "Learn More" link next to that checkbox says this: "If you reported self-employment income on any of the schedules listed below AND you used that income to buy health insurance through Healthcare.gov or your state Marketplace, you can deduct your premiums on your taxes."
I don't think I purchased my policy through healthcare.gov and I don't know what a "state marketplace" is. I certainly didn't purchase it through any state government health insurance website.
Should I check that box?
Also, where (which form/line) would I expect to see my self-employed healthcare premiums?
Thanks!
