many taxpayers rushed to file their 2020 returns ASAP In early January 2021. for many of those taxpayers instead of getting their refunds in 3 weeks after e-filing officially opened, many waited 6 to 9 months, some longer, because of tax law changes that were passed after they filed. There may even be some who are still waiting.
